Common questions
How old do I have to be?
You can apply at 16. You can get involved and start learning right away, with more responsibility opening up as you complete training.
Can I do this around classes?
Yes — training runs evenings and weekends, and you sign up for the duty shifts that fit your schedule.
Do I need any experience?
No — all firefighter and EMT training is provided free. Nobody expects you to know anything on day one.
