After completed construction, Pierce drove our new engine from the factory to the Maryland dealership for final fit up. During the trip, and friendly citizen grabbed these photos and sent them to us!

Four members of the AVFD Apperatus committee traveled to Wisconsin to go through the final pre-build paperwork, ensuring that the new engine is built to our exact specifications.

Signing the contract

After recieving multiple bids, the AVFD apperatus commitee has decided to purchase a Pierce engine through Atlantic Emergency Solutions

Preliminary Drawing

The new engine (working name "Engine 71") will feature many of the time-proven elements from our current apperatus fleet. In addition, the committee has spec'd out a few changes to improve the ability of our firefighters to quickly and effectively respond to all types of emergencies.
